I became a Christian whilst studying Philosophy at university, and ever since then I’ve loved telling people about Jesus. We’ve all fallen short of God’s perfect standards. We all hurt others and ourselves and we need to be forgiven. Jesus has paid the penalty for the things we have done wrong so that we can have that forgiveness. We can know God’s love and enjoy a personal relationship with him – and it’s a privilege to share this fantastic news with the people of Newcastle, Gateshead and beyond!
After graduation, I spent a formative year as a volunteer with Manchester City Mission doing street evangelism, feeding the homeless, running drop in centres and doing community outreach. Since then, I worked for mission agency Agapé from 2000 – 2003 and then spent some time in the communications teams at Traidcraft and Voluntary Arts England. I came back onto Agapé staff in 2014 where I shared my faith with students and the wider community. In 2021 I graduated from Redcliffe College with a Master’s in Contemporary Missiology (Bible and Mission) having completed my dissertation entitled How might a better understanding of missional holiness inform the UK church’s engagement in the area of homosexuality?
I spent ** years as the Content Director at Christian ministry Living Out before taking time out to focus on health issues. I now continue to do mission work in Newcastle and Gateshead through Gateshead Central Baptist church and am also working on a number of writing projects.
I love photography, drumming, trains, playing my ukulele, hanging out with friends, having adventures, playing pool, playing squash, wild swimming and eating eggs. If you’d like to know more about how I became a Christian, you can read my full story here.
